Muddy Mutleys

Dog Training & Behaviour Specialists

Good Citizen Awards

This scheme was established by the Kennel Club back in 1992 and is the largest dog training programme in the UK.

It is designed to promote responsible dog ownership by teaching owners how to deal with their dogs in everyday life situations.

It is a non-competitive scheme where emphasis is placed on achievement and where dogs of all ages and owners of all fitness levels are welcome to take part. Assessments are carried out in an informal and relaxed manner.

We would like to offer you the opportunity to get involved with this scheme at Muddy Mutleys.

All you have to do is to book onto one of our courses suitable to your dog’s age and ability and then email juliet@muddymutleys.com to register your interest in the scheme and we will organise the rest.

You will receive extra handouts and be given a date for your assessment.

Four award levels can be achieved: Puppy Foundation, Bronze, Silver and Gold.

Once passed, every dog handler and dog is issued with a Good Citizen Dog Training scheme certificate (applicable to the award level) and a rosette.
